Business Reading List

A few good books I recommend to everyone doing business:

Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free ProductivityI live and die by the power of GTD. David Allen is a master of productivity, this is a required read for everyone in any business.

The Five Dysfunctions of a Team: A Leadership Fable - Patrick LencioniA good first-person look at the different issues faced by those who work on teams. A must read for anyone in management or project-based work.

EntreLeadership - Dave RamseyA practical read on what it means to lead. You will learn that management is responsible for everything bad (and some good) that happens in a mature organization. When you take responsibility, you take management to the next level.

Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future - Peter ThielThoughts on how society progresses and how businesses enable that progression through innovation. Thiel has some great modern-day thoughts on business, technology, and the human story.

The Age of Deleveraging - A. Gary ShillingA good loook at the economy in the present decade. Shilling puts forth a great deal of opinion. Many of his ideas have already come to fruition. I recommend this as an opportunity to better understand the current business environment, the American emotional state, and what matters to people, in the present decade.
